TPE - Taipei look to spring a couple of surprises

JOHOR BAHRU, Malaysia (21st FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women): The last two occasions swingman Lin Yu-Ting represented the Chinese Taipei in a FIBA Asia competition for women, she was a part of the team that sprang a few surprises and finished with the bronze medal.

Now, with the experience of such performances at the 1st FIBA Asia U16 Championship for Women at Pune (India) in 2009 and the 20th FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women at Surat Thani (Thailand) the following year, the 180-cm is the most experienced player in the Taipei line-up.

She will have six more players who did the National duty at the 2nd FIBA Asia U16 Championship for Women at Jinan (China) last year for company, but is that enough to take Taipei to another podium finish. Interesting prospects to say the least.
