Japanese women win title in Panevezys tournament |
|
Japan women posted two successive wins one of them against fellow FIBA Asia team and archrivals China and went on to clinch the title in the Panevezys International tournament in Lithuania. Japan who had beaten Sweden on Day One thus finished winning all the three games of this annual international tournament. |

CHN - Boomers down China in a humdinger, take lead in You-Yi series |

The Australian Boomers won their second successive game, this one on Chinese soil, beating China 68-65 in a cliffhanger of a contest and took a 2-1 lead in the You-Yi Games on Wednesday. China had won 61-55 in Game 1 and the Aussies had bounced back 85-50 in Game 2 in the first two games played at Perth (Australia) last week. Game 4 of this annual series is scheduled for Friday at Yongcheng. |
