Talking to Hong Kong coach Tam Yau Tong is like opening a veritable book on Asian women’s basketball. At 64 years of age ‘Coach Tam’ as he is affectionately known among friends continues with the same energy and enthusiasm as much his U16 girls have here.
“In fact it’s their energy and enthusiasm that drives,” Tam chuckled after beating Singapore in the opening game of the Level II competition here. |
